SANTA MONICA, CA – The 47th annual Earth Day falls on April 22 of this year, and there’s no better way to celebrate it than with free, eco-friendly activities!

Heal the Bay is offering a day of fun at the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium this Saturday, April 22 with free admission, thanks to sponsor The Albright restaurant. From 12:30 to 5 PM, participants will get to make a biodegradable planter, experience a special Earth Day story time at 2 PM with a live animal presentation, and enjoy the local wildlife at the observation station from 1 to 4 PM near the west end of the Pier.

The best part? Earth Day attendees will find themselves becoming more knowledgeable about water pollution all while having fun! An interactive “Who Pollutes?” presentation is also optional for those who want to learn more.

Based in Santa Monica, Heal the Bay works as an environmental nonprofit to inspire diverse Los Angeles communities to defend the coastline, rejuvenate urban waterways, and encourage smart water policy. They believe in science, education, community action, and advocacy.
